MASS ART COMMUNITY/BUILD

designLAB partner sam batchelor founded the mass art community build studio, which designed and built small-scale infrastructure projects for non-profit and public clients in the boston area.

Using a consensus-based model of design that mirrors the process we use in our studio. The studio allows students to collaborate on a real-world construction project that benefits the community. Students learn what it takes to bring a project from concept to reality, and how those projects can impact their communities.
