harvard business school
dillon house
boston, massachusetts
The renovation of Dillon House provides a contemporary home for the Harvard Business School MBA admissions offices. Designed in the Georgian Revival style, the three-story, stucco and brick building was originally conceived as part of the 1920s campus master plan yet construction was delayed until 1965. designLAB and HBS have collaborated on an approach that restores and celebrates the exterior while the interior is totally reimagined. Dillon House is being reinvented as a modern workplace, with emphasis on flexibility, sustainability, and accessibility. The project explores principles of biophilia to create a healthier workplace and is pursuing ILFI Core certification.
