Working from photos taken onboard the 'Freighter', Bob first developed a rough sketch of the overall composition for the collage. He then assembled a 3-dimension construction built from illustration board that combines drawing, watercolor and collaged photo images. The final result is part ‘architectural’ model, part drawing and part painting. ‘Freighter to Nantucket’ received the Mixed Media Award for the Annual Juried Artist/Patron Exhibition 2017 at the Artist Association of Nantucket Gallery.
