Built and constructed during the height of the US Space Race, many would say the campus of UMass Dartmouth, design by famed architect Paul Rudolph, belongs on a different planet. Several of the custom designed light fixtures in dLAB's on-going addition and renovation project of the campus library were inspired by the unique 'sputnik' forms reminiscent of this time.
